Paul Gascoigne, a World Cup soccer star for England in 1990, was arrested and released at Newcastle-on-Thyne, England, as the result of a scuffle that followed when a man allegedly assaulted Gascoigne’s sister, Lindsay, outside of a restaurant, police said.
