LA PALMA : Bandit Flees With $1,400 From Bank
A man held up a bank Monday afternoon and escaped with about $1,400, police said.
The robber, armed with a handgun, entered the Sumitomo Bank at 5471 Orangethorpe Ave. at 3:45 p.m. and demanded money from a teller, a police dispatcher said.
He fled the bank without incident.
Police described the robber as 19 to 20 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighing about 180 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, gray sweat shirt and blue jeans.
