Albertsons Plans Expansion: The Boise, Ida.-based supermarket chain, now the sixth-biggest grocery operator in Southern California with 72 stores here, said it will open six more stores this year and about 10 more next year in the area. Albertsons also officially announced a new “everyday low prices” format at its Southern California stores.
