Joseph Brian Socha, the “St. Peter” rapist, has been sentenced to a 117-year prison term in connection with a series of sexual assaults on women in the Long Beach area.

Socha, 29, said to have told his victims that he was “St. Peter, messenger of the Lord,” was convicted June 13 of oral copulation, robbery, kidnaping, sodomy, rape and rape by a foreign object involving four women between July and September, 1990.

During the trial, two of the victims said Socha cut off their hair and carved upside-down crosses on their backs before throwing them nude from his car.
