ON YOUR MARX: Richard Marx, who recently migrated from EMI to Capitol Records (after a heated dispute between EMI and his manager), returns with a new album Oct. 7. Titled “Rush Street,” it features a host of intriguing guest stars, including Luther Vandross (who contributes guest vocals to “Keep Coming Back”), Billy Joel (who sings on “I Get No Sleep”) and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, who appears on “Streets of Pain.” . . . Rod Stewart’s new “Motown Song” single comes with a terrific B-side--a live version of Arthur Conley’s “Sweet Soul Music,” recorded live at London’s Wembley Arena in April. . . . And kudos to Spin magazine, whose new issue features a fascinating profile of rapper Slick Rick, who is doing 3 to 10 years in prison for attempted murder of his cousin. Figuring he’d be out of circulation for a while, Rick recorded two albums--and several videos--before he began serving his sentence last month.
