Remember Memorial

Excellent missive, “Rambling the Ramblas” (June 16). But I wish you would have written a little more on La Pedrera. Here is located the Republican’s “Vietnam Memorial.” More than 30,000 anti-Fascists were massacred here during Francisco Franco’s dictatorship. The names of thousands are etched on marble columns. This memorial honors their memory and also the contributions of the International Brigades during the Spanish Civil War.
