PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Hurt Henley Means Corner Competition
- Share via
Cornerback Darryl Henley and running back Marcus Dupree suffered muscle strains during practice, but only Henley missed the afternoon practice and probably will miss a few more days.
Henley’s pulled left hamstring, coupled with the continued absence of No. 1 pick Todd Lyght, opens the right cornerback spot up to all comers, Coach John Robinson said. In the afternoon, Latin Berry was playing the position.
Center Doug Smith, who hurt his right ankle Friday, won’t return to practice until late this week, Robinson said, although the injury isn’t serious. . . . This week is the meat of the Rams’ training camp--six consecutive days of scheduled two-a-day workouts.
