Motorist Sought After Man Is Shot
Police Tuesday were searching for a motorist who shot and seriously wounded a Santa Ana man in an alley near the man’s home.
Luis Fernando Padilla, 25, apparently asked the motorist what he was looking for, police said, and the unidentified man stopped his car, got out and struck Padilla with the butt of a pistol, then shot him once in the “middle torso.” Padilla was listed in stable condition at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana.
Police said the shooting took place at 9:55 p.m. Monday in the 900 block of South Minnie Street.
