GRAMPS IS HOME: Pricey housing and fixed incomes don’t mix, so many Orange County elderly are moving in with family and non-family alike. . . . While the county’s housing stock grew 21% since 1980, households featuring seniors living with family jumped 38%. Those with non-family soared 85%. . . . Peggy Weatherspoon, Area Agency on Aging director, suggested housing prices have prompted seniors to seek shared living arrangements. Also, the area’s growing Latino and Asian populations are more accepting of grandpa living in.
