To Ajaye and blacks of his ilk--wake up! Doctors, lawyers and scholars evidently weren’t around in the ghetto to inspire 2 Live Crew, Keenen Ivory Wayans or Matty Rich to create work glorifying them.

Most successful blacks (Ajaye’s working professionals and intellectuals) have neglected the people of the ghetto for years; now the tables have turned. The abandoned downtrodden are having the last laugh--and that’s entertainment.

If Ajaye wants to effect change in rap music and black film, he could come to live in the inner city and inspire.
