John Adams, as “The Trickster of Modern Music” (by Richard Stayton, June 16) says, is an unusual, original composer compared to the avant-gardists we have been fed over the past 40 years.
Until we get reviewers and patrons who recognize originality over background or mathematical cleverness, money and reviews will be wasted.
