COUNTYWIDE : Latino, Asian/Pacific Groups Will Meet
The Hispanic Caucus, the Asian/Pacific Islander School Board Member Assn. and the Hispanic Superintendents Assn. are planning a joint conference in Orange County for September.
The conference Sept. 19 through 22 at the Le Meridien Hotel in Newport Beach will feature seminars on successful language programs for minority students and bilingual education techniques.
Members of the groups will discuss how to campaign for election and re-election to local school boards. In addition, those who attend the conference will receive copies of successful grant proposals and information about proven teaching methods.
