Call to Duty: Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan, the National Basketball Assn.’s Most Valuable Player, will be the guest host for the 17th season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” Sept. 28 on NBC. . . . Garrett Morris, an original “Saturday Night Live” cast member, will have a recurring role as a neighborhood friend on Fox’s new “Roc” comedy series about a working-class family. . . . Conchata Ferrell, Michael Cumpsty and Tommy Verica will be new lawyers on NBC’s “L.A. Law” this coming season. . . . “Growing Pains” will add a new character for its seventh season on ABC. Leonardo DiCaprio, who was a regular on “Parenthood,” will play a 15-year-old boy who turns out to be homeless and is befriended by Kirk Cameron’s character. . . . George C. Scott will host and narrate “Brute Force,” a new weekly series on Arts & Entertainment detailing the evolution of modern weaponry. It starts Sept. 26.
