Two Corona del Mar Water Polo Teams in Finals

Two water polo teams from Corona del Mar will compete in the Junior Olympics National Finals starting Monday in Orlando, Fla.

The teams--15-and-under and 13-and-under--are coached by John Vargas, who also coaches at Corona del Mar High. However, Vargas is a player on the U.S. national team, which recently won the FINA Cup competition in Spain, and he will miss the Junior Olympics. Assistants Aaron Axton and Eric Vinje, both former Corona del Mar High players, will coach the teams.
