HUNTINGTON BEACH : Police Substation to Be Dedicated
The Police Department will hold a public dedication ceremony Thursday from 4 to 5 p.m. for its second substation, a new facility at 204 5th St.
“This will be an excellent opportunity for those people who live, work or play in the downtown area to meet the officers who will be working out of this new facility,” said Lt. Ed J. McErlain, a police spokesman.
McErlain said there will be educational displays at the substation dedication. Police vehicles and a police helicopter will be on exhibit, and a horse and rider from the city’s mounted patrol unit will attend.
Refreshments will be provided by downtown businesses.
