LIGHT STYLE : Wake Me, Shake Me

Here’s a smoothie to wake you up. Add some toast and you’ll have a nutritionally complete breakfast with minimal cholesterol and fat--about five milligrams cholesterol and 10% calories from fat.

BREAKFAST SHAKE

1 cup nonfat milk

2 heaping teaspoons sweetened cocoa powder

3 tablespoons egg substitute, or 1 egg white

1 small banana, cut up

Combine nonfat milk, cocoa, egg substitute and banana in blender container. Blend until frothy and smooth. Makes 1 serving.

Each serving contains about:

258 calories; 283 mg sodium; 5 mg cholesterol; 3 grams fat; 44 grams carbohydrate; 16 grams protein; 3 grams fiber; 10% calories from fat.
