Share

A 38-year-old man was stabbed in his forehead and chest early Wednesday at a laundry at 370 W. Sierra Madre Blvd., police said.

John Gangi of Pasadena was stopped by police at 2 a.m. after he drove his car through a stop sign at Sierra Madre Boulevard and Lima Street, police said. He lost consciousness soon after and was taken to Arcadia Methodist Hospital with one stab wound in the forehead and three in the chest, police said.

Police later traced Gangi’s path to the laundry, about half a block from where he was stopped. He was listed in critical but stable condition Wednesday. Sgt. Larry Lutzow said the incident was the second stabbing in Sierra Madre this year.
