James Winston O’Keefe; TV and Theatrical Producer

James Winston O’Keefe, 81, a theatrical and television producer whose career ranged from the Emmy-winning “Alcoa Theatre” through “Playhouse 90” and into such lighter pursuits as “Dennis the Menace.” He also was co-producer of “Matinee Theater” and administered the American Theater Wing training program in New York City after World War II. He was appointed dean of the Pasadena Playhouse College of Theater Arts when it reopened in 1966 after being padlocked by the International Revenue Service in a tax dispute. He served about two years. In Lincoln City, Ore., on Sunday of the complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
