Video Rental Chart : ‘Enemy’ Dumps ‘Misery’

Share

By far most popular rental of the last few weeks, Julia Roberts’ “Sleeping With the Enemy” took its place at the top of the Billboard chart, moving “Misery” down to No. 2. “Sleeping” should be nesting in the No. 1 position for the next few weeks. Jean-Claude van Damme’s martial-arts adventure “Lionheart”--which grossed more than $22 million at the box office--bounded up to No. 9 in just two weeks. “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II” debuted at No. 19.

* After “Sleeping With the Enemy,” this cops-vs.-drug-baron drama should be the hottest new title for the next few weeks. When it came out early in the year, the violence at some theaters scared away some prospective customers who may rent it now.
