PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : Highsmith Signs With the Cowboys
Fullback Alonzo Highsmith ended his holdout and signed a one-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys. The deal will pay Highsmith $350,000, but only $140,000 if he is injured.
Jim Mora, coach of the New Orleans Saints, said he will decide between quarterbacks Steve Walsh and Bobby Hebert early this week. Walsh was more impressive in the Saints’ 28-24 exhibition loss to the Miami Dolphins Saturday night.
Hebert completed eight of 19 passes for 82 yards, with two interceptions. Walsh completed 16 of 26 passes for 151 yards, with one interception.
