Man Dies From Drinking Poisonous ‘Moonshine’

KISSIMMEE, Fla. —
A man who became comatose two days after he drank what he thought was Kentucky moonshine died without regaining consciousness, hospital officials said Tuesday. Sheriff’s investigators were trying to determine where Marty Hammons, 23, got a bottle they said contained methanol, or wood alcohol, rather than the distilled grain alcohol used to make homemade liquor.
