FREE PIGSKIN: What happens when you have a game with national attention and too many empty seats? The organizers of tonight’s Pigskin Classic at Anaheim Stadium offered 100 tickets each to more than 70 county high schools to help with woeful attendance, predicted at barely half the house. . . . The game pits Brigham Young University, led by Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer, above, against No. 1-ranked Florida State. The giveaway surprised some. El Toro football Coach Mike Milner opined: “If the game was in Knoxville, they’d be scalping tickets for $200 apiece, not giving them away.”
