2 Women Rob Another at ATM
Two young women wearing baseball caps and Mickey Mouse T-shirts robbed another young woman at gunpoint at an automated teller machine, police said Friday.
One pointed a revolver at the victim, a 19-year-old San Juan Capistrano woman who had just withdrawn $40 from the ATM at a Bank of America branch on Paseo Adelanto and Del Obispo Street, Sheriff’s Lt. Richard J. Olson said. The robbery occurred at about 9:50 p.m. Thursday.
After grabbing two $20 bills, the pair departed in a dark-colored Nissan or Honda four-door sedan, Olson said.
“The victim was very surprised,” said Olson, who declined to release her name. “This is not the usual type of suspects we normally hear about. Two young women wearing Mickey Mouse shirts and carrying a gun?”
Olson said officers searched the area to no avail.
