Gail R. Seeger, who worked as a librarian at the Quartz Hill Library for 18 years, has died at her Quartz Hill home. She was 58.

Mrs. Seeger died Thursday of complications of a stroke, said her husband, Allen Seeger of Quartz Hill. Born Gail R. Clark in Greensburg, Ind., she came to California in 1953 and worked as a telephone operator for Pacific Bell in Downey. In 1963, she moved to the Antelope Valley and began working at the library 10 years later. She continued as a librarian until early this year. Mrs. Seeger was a member of the Antelope Valley 600 Bowling Club and was an avid bingo player.

In addition to her husband of 40 years, Mrs. Seeger is survived by her sons, Steven Seeger of Lancaster, Kim Seeger of Rosamond, Troy Seeger of Quartz Hill and Dale Allen Seeger of Douglasville, Ga.; parents, James W. Clark and Rachel Clark of Lancaster; sister, Joan Behling of Racine, Wis.; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is planned from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Halley-Olsen Funeral Chapel, 44802 N. Date Ave., in Lancaster, which is handling the arrangements. A funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, with burial to follow at Joshua Memorial Park in Lancaster. Donations may be made in Mrs. Seeger’s name to the Visiting Nurse Assn. Hospice Plan.
