Michael Andretti clipped a concrete barrier while moving through a hairpin turn but recovered to win the pole position for today’s Indy car race in Vancouver, Canada.
Andretti drove his Chevrolet-powered Lola around the 1.677-mile, 10-turn circuit at the Pacific Place exhibition grounds at an average of 105.205 m.p.h.
