SANTA ANA : Applicants Sought to Fill Trustee Term

Share

Rancho Santiago Community College District officials are now accepting applications from candidates interested in completing the unexpired term of Rodolfo Montejano, a charter member of the Board of Trustees.

Montejano, 53, announced his resignation from the seven-member board citing ill health and an impending move to Indiana. The 20-year board member’s present term of office expires in November, 1992.

Montejano’s resignation became effective Monday. The board has 30 days from that date to select his replacement, said Lincoln Hall, interim chancellor.

When Montejano announced his intent to resign earlier this summer, trustees decided to fill the vacancy by appointment rather than face the expense of holding a special election.

Applicants must live in Area 1 of the college’s boundaries.

Applications can be obtained by calling the Board of Trustees office at (714) 564-6000. They must be turned in by 5 p.m. on Sept. 13.
