COLLEGE FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : UCLA : Bruins Keeping Injuries to Minimum
Coach Terry Donahue said Tuesday that UCLA is in its best shape since the 1988 season, when UCLA beat Arkansas, 17-3, in the Cotton Bowl.
Fullback Kevin Smith has a shoulder injury, and center Aron Gideon is suffering from knee and ankle injuries, but Donahue anticipates that they will play Saturday night against Brigham Young at the Rose Bowl.
Al Jordan, a reserve cornerback who missed the 1990 season because of a knee injury that required surgery, is the only player definitely out of the BYU game.
