THOUSAND OAKS : Large Vacant Home Destroyed by Fire
A vacant 4,000-square-foot home burned to the ground early Wednesday morning in the Lynn Ranch area of Thousand Oaks, the Ventura County Fire Department reported.
Damage to the home on Calle las Trancas was estimated by fire officials to be about $400,000.
Twenty-nine firefighters and six engine companies responded to the two-alarm blaze, which began shortly before 2 a.m., a spokeswoman said. There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
