County Bonuses

I can’t believe what I read in The Times (“Board Suspends Bonus Pay Plan,” Metro, Aug. 28).
Why should county employees be paid bonuses for doing their jobs properly? Why should they be rewarded for “outstanding performance” in coordinating the $2-million renovation of anyone’s office in these days of cuts in every service to the poor, the sick, the homeless, the schools.
I say, “Throw the rascals out!”
