AGRAN IN CORNBELT: On his first tour outside California as a declared presidential candidate, former Irvine mayor Larry Agran stumped in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Iowa this week. Agran accepted an invitation to speak at Friday night’s Tri-State (that would be Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota) Democratic Unity Dinner because it was the first chance to appear with his Democratic rivals, spokesman Tim Carpenter says. . . . Agran has been calling for a “new American security” that would cut military spending by 50% and shift $150 billion to domestic programs.
