“Fall into Jazz,” a benefit performance Saturday by composer-guitarist Laurindo Almeida, raised about $2,500 for the Capistrano Valley Symphony.
About 5,500 cans of food were donated for Share Our Selves, a Costa Mesa social service agency, at a rock concert Saturday night featuring Cadillac Tramps, Delicious Mind Garden, Olivelawn and Candida and the Costa Mesa Four. T-shirt sales at the concert raised about $225 for the agency.
