They Want Their Pee-wee: After a surprise appearance by Pee-wee Herman on the MTV Video Music Awards last week, it seems that MTV fans want more of him. MTV is currently in discussions with the manager and lawyer of actor Paul Reubens to show reruns of the former CBS Saturday morning series “Pee-wee’s Playhouse,” MTV spokeswoman Carole Robinson said Monday. In July, CBS dropped five repeat episodes of the Emmy-winning series after Reubens, who plays the cult nerd Pee-wee, was arrested on indecent exposure charges in Sarasota, Fla. “Playhouse” was cancelled in April after five hit seasons on CBS so Reubens could move on to other projects.
