Patrick Moraz, former keyboards player for Yes and the Moody Blues, and Free Flight, a classical-jazz band with Mike Garson, who was the pianist in David Bowie’s “Ziggy Stardust” touring band, will be featured Saturday during a daylong event spotlighting new music technology.

The Irvine Orange Groves Electric Music Festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Irvine Valley College, 5500 Irvine Center Drive, and will include exhibits by music equipment manufacturers, most of them keyboard-oriented. Admission to the exhibits is free; tickets to the Moraz/Free Flight concert, at 6 p.m., cost $10.

The festival is being sponsored by Irvine Valley College and the city of Irvine, and is being coordinated by Christy Coobatis, a composer who teaches electronic music, songwriting and the history of rock at the college. Information: (714) 559-3333.
