LAS VEGAS — Operators of an exclusive jewelry shop in Caesars Palace filed a federal court civil suit against Mike Tyson on Wednesday, claiming the former heavyweight champion still owes them $125,000 for a jeweled bracelet.
George T. Morse III, the lawyer who filed the suit, said the action was taken after efforts to get Tyson to pay over the past two months failed.
Morse claimed in the suit that R&M; Enterprises, which operates Brittany Jewels International, sold Tyson the $150,000 bracelet May 11.
Tyson, according to the suit, made a $25,000 payment Aug. 11 but has failed to make any more payments.
