Don Majkowski said he wasn’t paying attention to the boos directed his way Sunday at Lambeau Field as the Green Bay Packers Packers attempted to overcome an eight-point deficit against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with less than four minutes remaining.

“It’s an indication of our character, especially after the fans booed us on the second-to-last series,” Majkowski said after leading the Packers to 10 points in the final minutes for a 15-13 victory.

The fans were angry after Tampa Bay quarterback Vinny Testaverde threw a pass that was tipped by cornerback Vinnie Clark into the arms of Willie Drewrey, who ran 87 yards down the sideline to give the Buccaneers a 13-5 lead with 3:59 left.

But Majkowski completed five passes for 65 yards during a quick drive that ended with an eight-yard touchdown pass to Vince Workman with 2:03 left to make the score 13-12.

After a Tampa Bay punt, Majkowski connected with Perry Kemp on a 35-yard sideline pass, a play that had to be upheld by replay. It was ruled a catch and then a fumble out of bounds on the Tampa Bay nine. Three plays later, Chris Jacke made a 22-yard field goal with 22 seconds left.

After Jacke’s field goal, Testaverde threw a long pass down the sidelines on the final play and Drewrey nearly caught another tipped pass. But this one was knocked down by Chuck Cecil.

The Packers (1-2) ended a seven-game losing streak dating to November, when they beat the Buccaneers.

The Buccaneers (0-3) gave up seven sacks, 4 1/2 by Packer linebacker Bryce Paup, and were assessed 12 penalties.

The Buccaneers lost an apparent touchdown at the end of the first half when Broderick Thomas blocked a 42-yard field goal attempt by Jacke.

In the scramble after the block, Ricky Reynolds knocked the ball to teammate Wayne Haddix, who ran into the end zone on the final play of the half.

But officials ruled the ball was batted forward illegally--a 10-yard penalty--and the touchdown was erased.
