Laguna Museum Adds 2 to Staff

The Laguna Art Museum has announced two additions to the staff: Elizabeth Laugharn Mead as development director, and Teresa Ferreira as manager of the museum stores.

Mead, 38, was finance director for the 1988 campaign of Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach). She also has worked as deputy director of legislative affairs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (1989 and 1990) and as deputy director of the adult literacy initiative for the U.S. Department of Education (1985 to 1988).

Her background also includes eight years in marketing and advertising with Dailey & Associates International and with her own firm, Laugharn Marketing Services. She has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from UCLA.

Ferreira, 32, has been administrator of Summer Arts, an annual visual and performing arts program for the California State University, for the past three years. Previously she was purchasing agent and store manager for Craftworks Inc. in Irvine and accounts manager for Mahon-Made Stoneware in Fountain Valley. Ferreira holds a bachelor’s degree in art from Cal State Long Beach.
