Trout Will Heat Up in the Cold

As nights grow colder at Big Bear, so does the water temperature at Big Bear Lake, and thus the trout are beginning to stir.

Taking this into account, along with the fact that daytime temperatures are still mild, the Fishing Assn. of Big Bear will hold a trout fishing contest Oct. 5-6.

More than 3,000 pounds of rainbow trout from two to 15 pounds will be added for the nonprofit event, whereby cash prizes will be awarded the nine heaviest fish, the heaviest worth $1,800.
