PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAMS : Anderson Might Be Out 3 Weeks
Receiver Flipper Anderson was resting at Centinela Hospital after suffering a cracked bone in his lower back Sunday but could return to the lineup in three weeks, Coach John Robinson said.
Left guard Bern Brostek, who suffered a sprained right ankle on the first series of Sunday’s game, will probably sit out for three or four weeks, Robinson said.
The wave of Ram injuries apparently will delay the return of tailback Marcus Dupree for several more weeks. Dupree, who was put on injured reserve before the season because of a sore left toe, has recovered but probably won’t be taken off of the injured-reserve list because the Rams need to save the roster spot for other positions. . . . Robinson said right tackle Jackie Slater and defensive tackle Alvin Wright, both of whom sat out the last two games because of sore shoulders, and linebacker Fred Strickland, who sat out two games because of a strained knee, all might be ready to play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
