Boxer Fernie Morales remained in critical condition at John F. Kennedy Hospital in Indio, where Saturday night he underwent emergency brain surgery for removal of a blood clot.
Morales collapsed after losing a 12-round decision to bantamweight champion Orlando Canizales Saturday afternoon in Indio.
