Agreement Reached on Custody of Teen Actor

The mother, uncle and aunt of “Terminator 2” teen actor Edward Furlong came to a tentative agreement Thursday on who should have custody of the youth. But details of the agreement were kept secret.

Furlong, 14, has been living with his uncle and aunt, Sean Furlong and Nancy Tafoya, in their Highland Park home since mid-1990, after he left his mother’s Pasadena home over a disagreement.

The court dispute began early last year when Furlong’s mother, Eleanor Torres, filed court papers seeking custody. The actor, who is in Seattle doing a movie, did not appear in court Thursday. After several hours of closed-door conferences with court officials, attorney Bruce Ross, who has been appointed guardian of the young actor’s financial affairs, announced that a tentative settlement had been reached.
