OXNARD : Woman Taken to Field and Raped
A 25-year-old woman was raped in Oxnard by an acquaintance who offered to walk her home from a bar early Thursday morning, police said.
The rapist had offered to walk the woman from a bar in south Oxnard to her nearby apartment, but instead took her to a field and raped her, said Ed Nutzel, a spokesman for the Oxnard Police Department.
The woman was treated at Ventura County Medical Center, Nutzel said.
The suspect’s name is being withheld, pending completion of the investigation, Nutzel said.
