San Fernando 49, Gardena 12--The Tigers (3-0) outrushed Gardena, 312 yards to 10, while scoring six touchdowns on the ground for an easy victory at Gardena.
The San Fernando rushing attack was led by running backs LaKarlos Townsend and Brian Brison, who scored two touchdowns each. Townsend gained 76 yards and Brison added 71.
The Tigers’ third back in the I-bone offense, Tony Brown, added 89 yards in five carries, including a 77-yard touchdown run in the first quarter to give San Fernando a 7-0 lead.
San Fernando’s only non-rushing touchdown came on a 31-yard interception return by defensive back Brandon Cade.
