Welcome Ncita of South Africa retained his International Boxing Federation junior featherweight title by winning a split decision over Colombia’s Sugar Baby Rojas at Sun City, South Africa.
It was Ncita’s fifth defense of the title and his second fight with Rojas since February. Ncita improved to 29-0.
Two of the three American judges gave the decision to Ncita, 115-113. The third scored it 119-109 for Rojas.
