2 Banks Robbed During Afternoon
Two San Diego banks were robbed 2 1/2 hours apart Monday afternoon, San Diego police said.
The California Commerce Bank at 401 West A St. was robbed at 1:27 p.m. when a man with a brown bag entered, said he had a weapon, demanded money and fled with an undetermined amount of cash. San Diego police described him as about 34 years old and 6 feet tall.
Another man robbed a Security Pacific Bank at 3813 Governor Drive shortly before 4 p.m. after presenting a demand note. He left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was seen wearing a purple-and-red sweat suit and gold-rimmed glasses, and he had a mustache, police said.
