Candidates for Ventura City Council are scheduled to tell voters their views during a series of forums to be held this week.
The first forum is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Road.
It is sponsored by the National Assn. of the Remodeling Industry.
The second forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Community Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Poli Street and Lincoln Drive.
It is sponsored by the Poinsettia Umbrella League, a coalition of slow-growth advocates.
The third forum is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. at the Masonic Temple, on the corner of Santa Clara and California streets.
It is sponsored by the Committee to Preserve Historic Ventura, which originally was formed to oppose City Council plans for an ordinance requiring downtown landlords to make their buildings earthquake-proof.
