“Off Center Comedy,” a weekly public access cable TV program featuring local comics and music groups, has been nominated for a Western Access Video Excellence (WAVE) award. The show, launched last November and taped at the Costa Mesa studios of Copley Colony, is aired by five cable systems covering much of Orange and Los Angeles counties.

The show regularly features Craig Doyle, Alan Mollick and Nancy Schofield and is produced and hosted by Maggi Bass-Jackson. The WAVE awards, which cover the states of California, Nevada and Hawaii, will be handed out Oct. 26 at Pasadena City College.
