Ultimate Rummage: Castle Howard, the great house in England where “Brideshead Revisited” was filmed, is having a rummage sale Nov. 11-13 to raise $1.3 million needed to repair and conserve the treasures in the house that are on public view. There are rows of carpets, clocks, china, kettles, toys, fire irons, drawings and prints among the 2,000 items, the most expensive being a pair of 17th-Century Japanese Kakiemon porcelain figures estimated to be worth up to $135,000. Castle Howard, built in 1698, is considered one of England’s most magnificent homes.
