Glendale : Man Gets 11 Years in Killing

Share

A Pasadena Superior Court judge this week sentenced a 35-year-old transient to serve 11 years in state prison in connection with the beating death of another homeless man in the stairwell of the Glendale Presbyterian Church.

The defendant, Robert Radzikowski, had pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter in the death of Jerry Hudson, 46, last January. He was sentenced Monday by Judge Terry Smerling.

Investigators charged that Radzikowski bludgeoned Hudson with a brick to steal the homeless man’s Social Security check. Hudson frequently slept in the stairwell beneath the church on East Harvard Street.
