Collision With Truck Kills Motorcyclist
An El Cajon man died and his passenger was injured when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a pickup on California 67.
John Antone Hogue, 30, rear-ended the truck at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday and was thrown onto the highway, a spokesman from the California Highway Patrol said. Hogue, a cabinet maker, was run over by a Ford Escort and died at the scene of head injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.
Fabian Labbe, 29, of Santee, was treated at Sharp Memorial Hospital and transferred to Kaiser Permanente. His condition was not available.
