SIMI VALLEY : 5 Arrested After Cocaine Is Seized
Ventura County sheriff’s detectives arrested five Simi Valley residents Wednesday after seizing three pounds of cocaine from two homes, authorities said Thursday.
The five were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, sale of cocaine and possession of cocaine for sale, said sheriff’s deputies who declined to release the suspects’ names because the investigation is continuing.
An undercover sheriff’s narcotics detective had been buying cocaine from several of the suspects for two months, according to a statement from Sgt. Gary Pentis. Detectives then searched two residences where they found cocaine with an estimated street value of $137,000, Pentis said.
